A series with movie potential!!!!

Let me introduce you to a series that is absolutely amazing and awesome and for all ages!!! It is the Heist Society series by Ally Carter!

Book #1 When Katarina Bishop was three, her parents took her on a trip to the Louvre…to case it. For her seventh birthday, Katarina and her Uncle Eddie traveled to Austria…to steal the crown jewels. When Kat turned fifteen, she scammed her way into boarding school trying to leave behind the family business. When her dad gets into trouble with the mob and is blamed for a painting heist, Kat finds herself back with her gang of friends (including her handsome friend Hale) to clear his name. For Kat, there is only one solution: track down the paintings and steal them back. So what if it's a spectacularly impossible job?

Forced to keep a level head as she and her crew fight for one of their own, Kat comes up with an ambitious and far-reaching plan. To pull it off, Kat is prepared to do the impossible, but first, she has to decide if she's willing to save her boyfriend's company if it means losing the boy.





Now what I have to say about this series! I loved the review on the back that said something like, "This story makes me want to put on my fiercest heels or bungee jump off a museum-even better both together!" It really does! :) This made me want to put on a cat suit and steal a huge emerald! And if there was a rich hottie boyfriend doing it with me I wouldn't complain! :) These books remind me of Ocean's 11 but instead of boys it's a gang of teenagers! The author is great at building up the right amount of suspense and then blowing your mind by revealing the plot little by little! I think the main character is awesome! She's so smart and sassy! As the books progress the heists get bigger and bigger and the characters become sassier and even more endearing!

NOW the awesome part! Ally Carter blogged that Heist Society has been optioned as a movie from the producers who brought us Pitch Perfect! (love that movie!)  Here's what Ally said-

As most of you probably know, Pitch Perfect was my favorite movie of last year. There are too few movies that feature women–much less movies that feature bright, capable YOUNG women.  Pitch Perfect has been one of very few exceptions to that in recent history, and so I am ecstatic to entrust Heist Society to the people who made that movie possible. It is all still VERY new, but I have spoken with Max and Elizabeth on the phone, and let me tell you, they are so smart and have such a great grasp of the material that I am absolutely thrilled with the possibilities."
